Practice Your Reading Comprehension

With Amazon Prime Video’s recent release, Red One, a Christmas-themed action/comedy/sci-fi/fantasy film, holiday movies are being given a whole new meaning! Gone away is the romantic cheese and predictable tropes of America’s greeting-card-turned-film factory and its slightly edgier competitor, Lifetime.

SYNOPSIS

Red One is a high-budget, dead-pan, absurdist holiday story for older audiences. It centres on the kidnapping of Santa Claus, unintentionally made possible by an international black market worker, and the inevitable chaos that his kidnapping causes around the world, among a variety of cultures.
