WHAT TO LEARN:

“Falling For Christmas” is one of the new Christmas movies that Netflix had slated to come out this holiday season. With such a beloved main cast, physical comedy gold Lindsay Lohan and memorable Glee member Chord Overstreet, it was no wonder that this movie debuted at number one on the streaming platform in multiple countries upon its release.

The film’s simple, tropey storyline surrounding the Christmas season at an American bed-and-breakfast makes it the perfect fit for enjoyably festive listening comprehension practice for intermediate English learners. The movie covers vocabulary related to Christmas, American and British accents, American humour, social media, daily tasks, luxury, hospitality, memory, relationships (fans/followers, community, colleagues, family, friendship, romance), and much more…!

TRAILER:

Have you seen this movie? Some are saying that it is the beginning of a Lohannaissance–the comeback of Hollywood darling Lindsay Lohan. What’s your opinion on the matter? Let me know in the comments.
